What is Somatic Breathwork?

Sacred Pause VT logo
Breathing Exercise

Somatic breathwork is an inward journey to clear out stress and suppressed emotions from the nervous system, using circular-connected breathing.

Over time, unresolved trauma, or chronic stress causes dysregulation of the nervous system, leading to mental, physical, and/or emotional dis-ease within, and often lending to difficulties in our personal and professional lives.

Somatic Breathwork employs circular-connected breathing coupled with rhythmic music to produce a cathartic release for the nervous system. Using the breath, you will engage your innate ability to heal yourself and sweep out blockages, restrictions, or pains that hold you back from experiencing your full authenticity.

What can Somatic Breathwork do for you?

Emotional Release

By consciously breathing and bringing awareness to the body, individuals may experience the release of stored emotions, trauma, and tension. This can lead to emotional catharsis, increased emotional resilience, and a sense of liberation.

Stress Reduction

Somatic breathwork can help reduce stress and promote relaxation by activating the body's relaxation response and calming the nervous system. It can provide a sense of grounding and stability amidst the challenges of daily life.

Body-Mind Integration

Through the practice of somatic breathwork, individuals can cultivate a deeper connection between their mind and body. This integration can lead to increased self-awareness, improved body awareness, and a greater sense of overall well-being.

Healing & Transformation

Somatic breathwork has the potential to facilitate healing and transformation on various levels - physical, emotional, and spiritual. By engaging in conscious breathing and working with the body's innate wisdom, individuals may experience profound shifts, increased vitality, and a greater sense of wholeness.
